Cobbler..... any kind

Cobbler.... Can be peach, apple, mango, any fruit (even canned without syrup) combinations of fruit, get creative they're all great. Don't let this simple recipe fool you, makes a great, fast cobbler everyone will love!
4 cups peeled, sliced peaches or ?
2 cups sugar
8 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour or use regular flour and add baking soda and baking powder (1 1/2 tsp each)
1 1/2 cups milk
Ground cinnamon, optional
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F/ 180 C Combine the peaches, 1 cup sugar, and mix well. Let sit and they will get juicy. If using canned fruit, save 1/2 of juice. Put the butter in a 3-quart baking dish and place in oven to melt. Mix remaining 1 cup sugar, flour, and milk slowly to prevent clumping. Pour mixture over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup. Sprinkle top with ground cinnamon, if using. Batter will rise to top during baking. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
To serve, scoop onto a plate (warm up, very important) and serve with your choice of whipped cream, ice cream or just cream on top.
